Writing my first book has been an exciting process. Seeing how many people have already ordered it is even more exciting.
For those of you that have already done a pre-order, thank you - If you haven't ordered yet, you can still get the pre-order price by ordering by midnight on February 12th. The book will be released on my birthday, February 13th! To pre-order click on the book cover below.
So what can you expect to gain by reading my book?
I am of the belief that we were all created to leave a dent in the world, making it better than we found it. Part of this happens when we are living a life of significance and not just barely getting by.
The question then becomes how do you live a life of significance? Well, I hate to answer a question with a question, but Jesus did that so am in good company. My first question for you would be: “who are you?” Once you know the answer to that question, then you can start to create a life of significance.
The really great thing is that each of us is unique and our life of significance will look totally different than anyone else’s. I think God is a master Creator and the wonders of how different He made us continues to amaze me.
It is my prayer that by reading my book you will have a desire to dig a little deeper on your journey to answer the question who are you and build a life of significance around your answer.
Here is an excerpt from the book explaining why I wrote it:
Why did I write this book?
My overall why is:
Shining Christ’s light on people’s unique potential, so that
they will embrace their possibilities and grow in their significance.
There are many other books on Success, Significance, and Identity out in the world… why add another?
Frankly, there’s not a lot of new ideas here. However, to use a cooking analogy, there’s not a lot of new ingredients in the world. But chefs come up with new recipes all the time. How do they do it? They combine different ingredients in different ways and with different spices, to come up with their own “signature dish” or “special sauce.”
As with any “why?” question, there are always multiple reasons.
- I’m done a lot of work around my own Identity.
- I’ve helped a lot of others with their Identity work, as a:
- volunteer in organizations
- leader
- mentor/friend
- and as a coach.
- Perhaps my “special sauce” will have impact on some.
- As you can see in my why, it’s part of my significance to help other people with their significance.
To that end, I feel that it’s my calling to add my voice, my uniqueness, my “special sauce” to the mix.
