You know, you think I might realize this by now but am still learning the fact that God’s timing is always perfect.
I had been working on writing a book for about 2 years and really couldn’t get any traction with it. I even hired a ghostwriter. It was just not happening.
Then around the holidays, I felt like God guided me to do something different. If you have been following my blog posts for a while you will know that God likes to show off creatively in different ways. Link to "A New Thing"
I had a clear vision of what I was supposed to do.
If you are like me, you may not always be quiet enough to hear God but then even when you do hear from Him you don’t follow what He wants you to do (or not do). Well, this time I listened and obeyed.
Over the course of a few months, I was able to go from what seemed to be a standstill to having the first book of a three-part series published.
Yes, it took doing something different on my part. I chose to spend time working on the book rather than doing some other things that I had planned on during the holidays. Thankful that I was still able to take time to see my family even though it wasn’t at the time I had originally planned.
Am wondering what “thing” you have been trying to force “now” to be the right time for? I would encourage you to pray and seek God’s timing – because when you walk in what He has for you – it really is beautiful.
