I love all kinds of quotes. From Jim Rohn to Mark Twain. However, sometimes we find some great quotes attributed to people that, we know for sure, have never said that. For example the one above. I can assure you, that even though Abraham Lincoln was a brilliant man, he did not say that.
So today, I am bringing you examples of quotes that had been misattributed along with a website where you can check out who said it and do a little research about the person who said it and the quote.
Keep in mind that the website does not have all the quotes in the world. They research each quote people send and then respond - add it - on the website. So you may not find some quotes, but you can always request to know if it is accurate.

A big example of a misattributed quote is this one from Mark Twain - what are the two most important days in your life? "The day you are born and the day you find out why."
I find it really amusing -- as well as quite sad -- that a whole book is based on the quote (the day you find out why) and they haven't even done the basic research to ensure it's accurate.
As genius as this quote may sound, Mark Twain did not say it. Although, I do agree with that statement. We all want to find happiness and purpose. After all, they are two intertwined things to feel satisfied with our lives. One does not feel complete without the other.
This is why I do what I do. Finding your Calling in life helps you understand why you are here; helps you feel complete, and takes you a step closer to your happiness. A step closer to the path that God has planned for you.
