Seeing clearly now...

Wow - the last few weeks we have covered a lot of information. Discovering your PLACE in this world is work! In my opinion, it is very much worth the effort.

I have asked you to rate yourself each week on a scale of 1 - 10 in regard to how you are doing in the different areas. So far we have covered:

  • P - Purpose
  • L - Love
  • A - Acceptance

Do a quick check-in to see how you are doing in those areas today. Better or worse than you had been before? Remember the things you decided to work on to improve in those areas, did you do them? If not, are you willing to recommit to do them this week? If so, can you adjust what you are doing to help you reach a more satisfactory number on the scale this week?

Seeing clearly is important. Clarity is the C in PLACE.

The definition of clarity is:

Noun: clearness or lucidity as to perception or understanding; freedom from indistinctness or ambiguity. the state or quality of being clear or transparent to the eye.

Do you have clarity around your PLACE in this world? One of the steps many Christians forget to do, myself included at times, is to pray for God to guide them in an area of their life.

We can think we have clarity around a subject and decide to take action towards our goals and then realize that we never stopped to pray about the decision.

I have found that when I really seek God, He shows up. Sometimes it’s in a way that I may not notice at first. However, He is there.

A good example of this for me is the book I had been writing for the last few years. I even had a ghostwriter helping me and we just were not making any progress. Then towards the end of last year, I spent some time connecting with God and He gave me clarity about the book. Within a few months, it was published.

Prayer is powerful. It’s not the only thing you can do to gain clarity. Talking with people that know you and understand your heart and what type of life you are trying to create can be good too.

Taking time to journal and write down the things you want to see happen in your life is another good idea. When I write I can start to see patterns that occur, that I may not see if I had just had them rolling around in my brain. Writing is very powerful.

What are some of the other ways that you use to get Clarity in your life?

What is something that you can do to have better clarity around your PLACE? Rate yourself today on the 1 - 10 scale to have a baseline and then after you have spent some time working towards having better clarity, rate yourself again.

Let me know how you are doing on your PLACE. If I can do anything to help you please let me know.
