Andy Stanley has a new book out called, Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets. He shared with us the 5 questions to consider that will help you determine your next move. He also said, “marry the mission, date the model”. This was a good reminder for me. I know what God has called me to do, the way that I accomplish that may change but the mission likely won't.
I have been a fan of Patrick Lencioni for a long time. He has helped me learn more about leadership and teamwork in a way that has helped me inspire others to do better in both areas.
He spent his time sharing a concept he calls “The 6 Types of Working Genius”. It is very powerful information. I found a great blog article that will give you an overview of the concept. This quote from the blog is a quote from Lencioni:
“Far too many people in the world suffer needlessly because they don’t understand their personal areas of working genius. As a result, they don’t do the kind of work that gives them joy and energy, and they end up in jobs and projects that are draining and demoralizing.”
This concept ties in wonderfully with the StrengthsFinder on Steroids coaching that I offer. Understanding who God created YOU to be and working on operating out of those strengths “genius” are ideal.
By the end of the one-day virtual conference, I received so much wonderful information that will help me in many areas of my life. Thank you to Kalen Holden for connecting me to the Faith Driven Entrepreneur organization.
